We are seeking a motivated Training and Development Specialist who can design, implement, and evaluate learning programs tailored for healthcare and social services staff. Your work will help improve the quality of care and support for clients and communities.
About the Role
As a Training and Development Specialist, you will collaborate with managers and team leaders to identify training needs and create engaging learning experiences. This role combines instructional design, staff development, and performance improvement in a supportive and meaningful work environment.
Whether you’re delivering workshops remotely or supporting in-person programs in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, or Port Moody, your contribution will be key to enhancing service delivery in the healthcare and social assistance fields.
Responsibilities
- Assess training needs and gaps in healthcare and social assistance programs
- Design and deliver effective remote and in-person training sessions
- Develop instructional materials and learning resources
- Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and employee performance
- Provide coaching and development support to staff at all levels
- Collaborate with leadership to align training goals with organizational objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in training, development, or instructional design
- Background in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and e-learning tools
